How to Boost Wifi signal?

When you have problems, you'll always tend to rectify it and particularly when it comes to the problems regarding the signal strength.  Having a low signal strength?. No one would like to ignore the poor wifi signal strength because it's the daily life aspect now. In this article, i am going to explain the things that lower the performance of your wifi signal and some tips to overcome those problems. Wifi router in general, provides the radio wave signal that transmits on a 2.4 or 5 Giga Hertz (GHZ) frequency. It doesn't matter how strong your network provider's network is, there are many factors that lower the performance of the router which results in the poor signal strength.

There are many factors that affect the signal strength and the performance of wifi. These factors are dependent on various areas and the technology that is used in the devices. One should always keep it in mind that fundamental physics has a greater impact in this part. When it comes to the physical aspect, it cannot be avoided and measure has to be taken to minimize the negative effect on network performance. One must have a proper network planning to avoid these major problems.People can identify some factors
themselves quite easily.

Obvious Factors affecting wireless networking performance:

Though there are many factors that affect the signal strength, i'm going to explain only the obvious ones which is of greater concern and they are given below.

Network range & distance between the devices:

When two peoples are trying to contact each other, the network range and the distance between their devices decide the signal strength. The more they are closer to each other, more it is easy to communicate. When the two networked devices farther from one another trying to communicate, the signal strength will be low because at that point the signal has to cross a wider area to connect their
devices. Physically, signal strength is calculated by the cubic inverse of distance between the networked devices. When the distance between the router and the connected device is doubled, the signal becomes eight times weaker when compared to the area where the distance between the devices is closer.

Wireless network interference:

Since Wireless Networking is becoming more and more common, more wireless transmissions are being sent through the air. So it will not be a surprise that the signal will interfere with each other and will cause negative effect on the performance of the network. Frequency bands such as the 2.4GHz band can get severely affected by the overcrowding of wireless signals to a point where a device
will not operate at an acceptable level. The other radiations such as microwaves and IR rays will interfere too. To avoid this, unlicensed 5GHz frequency band is used which is becoming popular. When operating in areas of high wireless network densities, it is better that you work with businesses, operators etc. around you to avoid future interference problems.

Physical obstructions:

Wifi signals can penetrate the walls and other solid objects, but it will lose it's density when it does. For example, the router is installed in the hall and you're in the nearby closed room. Now, the signal has to obstruct the door or the wall to reach your devices. Hence the strength will be comparitively low. The more the signal has to obstruct, lesser will be the signal strength.

Considering the above factors, one can get a clear idea about how to execute the networking plans and to improve the signal strength. Though there might be some software
that can help in improvising the network standards, it can't help you better when you have those obvious factors affecting your signal strength. Keeping in mind of those
obvious factors, i would like to tell you some tips that can help you.

Tips:

  • Have a better networking plan.
  • Avoid the obstructions.
  • Fix the router in a location where the signal can have the ability to transmit to wider areas.
  • Avoid the signal interference.
  • Maintain the distance between the router and your device.

How to create a secret Animation in Windows 8 start screen?

It's time for some modification in windows8. Well, i'm talking about some cool animations which you would like to apply on your windows8. The modification thing i'm talking about is the start screen in windows8. Generally, it shows the icons of built-in programs and installed apps in the form of tiles view. But there's nothing that cannot be changed. So let's see how to make this change.

when you start your windows 8 , the start screen will appear with smooth animation but this animation is shown only once and after that when you switch back to start screen, that animation is not shown.

If you want to Enable this cool animation as shown in the above image
Follow the simple steps below :

1. Press "WIN+R" key combination to launch RUN dialoge box.
then type "regedit" (without quotes) and press OK.

2.It will open the Registry Editor.

Follow the path given below in the left-side pane :
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\ImmersiveShell\Grid

Now in Menu-bar Select Edit --> New --> DWORD(32-bit value)
Write the name as "Launcher_SessionLoginAnimation_OnShow"

Then right-click on it and select "Modify".

Now change the value into "1"(one) and click ok.

Thats it ! Now check this animation by switching to start screen.

Note: If it is not working, immediately just log off your PC and login for once it activate automatically.

If you don't like the new look, you can just restore the default by deleting the DWORD that you created.

USB tethering is not working PC,what to do now?

USB tethering is the easiest way of connecting the internet to PC  via USB for android devices but it doesn't work in Windows 8. what should we do now?How to use intenet in Windows 8 via Android?

Here are the simple steps to use Internet in Windows 8 via Android:

STEP 1: First you have to download a small size software for both PC and mobile named PDA net.

STEP 2: Download pda for desktop in www.pdanet.co

After installing PdaNet for desktop, go to all programs in your PC and search for "pda", then you will find pdaNet. Then pin it to taskbar as shown below

STEP 3:  Now download  PdaNet for your Android mobile in Google play store by searching "PdaNet". You will see many options there but you should download this as shown below

STEP 4: After installing PdaNet+ for both Android and PC, connect your Android device to PC via USB,then enable your data connection in your mobile and then open PdaNet in mobile and click on "Activate USB tether" as shown below

STEP 5: Now just click on PdaNet on desktop. That's it!. Now you have successfully connected your internet connection in your PC via Android.

 INTERESTING PART:

Remember that PdaNet+ for mobile is a trial version and it limts the data to be used. Once it reaches it's limit ( say 15 to 20 MB) connection will be automatically disconnected and then you have to reconnect for PdaNet to use internet.

If you want to use PdaNet+ without disconnecting, then you have to unlock the trial version by purchasing its full version. It costs $7 to purchase. But don't worry. we are here to help you. How to recover the permanently deleted files in PC?

Generally we delete the data that we don't need or sometimes the data gets deleted accidentally. How about recovering those data back to your PC?.

Yes!it's possible to recover the deleted files with ease. The files which we delete, remains in the storage even if they are permanently deleted but not for a long time. When you delete a file permanently, though the data might be removed but the system keeps the track(location) of the deleted data and it keeps it as a free physical space. When you think to recover the deleted files, then you must do it quick.

When you delete a file, the first place it goes to is the Recycle bin. If you find the deleted file in the recycle bin, then just right click on the file and select restore button.

There are two ways to recover the deleted files which are given below

1. The first one is to explore the recycle bin to check if your data is actually present there. If the deleted file is present in the recycle bin, then just right click on the file and select restore button.

Clicking on the restore button will restore the file to the location where it was previously located.

 2. If the file is not present in the recycle bin too, then you don't need to worry. There are many free data recovery programs and softwares that are available for you. The data recovery programs helps to restore the deleted files. Here are the two best free softwares that i found very easy and convenient to use.

GLARY UNDELETE:

The Glary Undelete is a product of GLARYSOFT. From all the other data recovery softwares, I found Glary undelete as the best and easiest way of recovering the permanently deleted files. The biggest advantage in Glary Undelete is the availability of easy "Folders" view,i mean a Windows Explorer-style view of recoverable files, which suggests how likely a successful file recovery will be.It shows the status of the deleted files once you've found the files.

One disadvantage of Glary Undelete is that it requires installation before you can use it and it asks you to install a toolbar.Anyways, you can decline to add a toolbar and Glary Undelete is a perfect thing.Glary Undelete can recover files from hard drives and any removable media you might have including memory cards, USB drives, etc.

After installing the software, search the specified file by specifying the disk and filter. Once it shows you the deleted files, just check box the files you want to recover.

Download GLARY UNDELETE  here

PURAN RECOVERY:

Puran File Recovery can be used to recover deleted/lost files/partitions. Files can be recovered from formatted disks too. Almost everything that is detected as a drive by Windows can be scanned irrespective of its file system.Be it Hard Disks, Pen Drives, Memory Cards, Mobile Phones, CDs, DVDs, basically any storage medium.

Files can be viewed in List View or Tree View and previewed before restoring.
Can restore deleted files back to where they were originally.

Download PURAN RECOVERY here

As i wrote earlier, the chances of recovering the data depends upon how quickly you try to recover the files once it is permanently deleted. One more thing that should be kept in mind is the fact that the system keeps the track of the location of deleted files and it keeps it as a free space. But if other files are overwritten on that particular free space, then you'll not be able to recover that file as it's location is replaced by the overwritten file.So it always depends upon how quickly you recover the data.

Hope this helped!.

What's latest in Nokia X2

According to the fresh rumors,it is known that the upcoming Nokia X2 might feature dual boot Windows Phone and Android with Google Play services.

While Nokia seems to be ready to come out with its X2, a rumor on the Secret app has sparked a new debate regarding the smartphone. A post on the app which gives its users anonymity claims that "the Nokia X2 is going to dual boot Windows Phone & Android." It also says that the Android version on the X2 will support Google Play Services which is very unlikely as such a move goes against Microsoft's business plan.

we know that the Nokia X2 will feature 4GB of internal storage which will make it almost impossible to incorporate both operating systems. Such a phone would not leave any storage space usable to the user.

Despite so hard to believe, the idea seems interesting as the rest of the specs that have been leaked do point that Nokia X2 will indeed be able to run both the systems without any hiccups. The only thing that do add a small sense of credibility to this rumor is that the secret post has been shared by Michael Faro-Tusino who is a senior editor at Unleashthephones and MyNokiaBlog.
