Whatsapp to have an updated version soon.

WhatsApp, a popular messaging service, is now about to launch it’s new updated version which brings new features which includes ‘1 century’ mute and more.

Mean while its update will be for Android devices alone. The company has not yet revealed the exact details and also the availability of the application file on its site. The updated app is yet to be listed on the Google Play in India. The update is focused on the group messaging feature and quicker image sharing function. As per the update, version 2.11.230 for Android, Whats-app has extended the 'mute' time of groups from the existing options of 8 hours, 1 day and 1 week, to 1 month, 1 year and even 1 century. The users can completely deactivate the group notifications. Until now, the users have been receiving silent notifications from the 'muted' group, but the update's new 'Show Notification' feature would not show them in the device's notification tray and would completely disable them. The Whats-app v2.11.230 also brings a new camera icon besides the voice-message icon, which on tapping would take users straight to the handset's camera feature for easier click-and-share functionality which is much better than tapping on Add attachments which is provided in the current version. Recently Whats-app had a new feature which enabled privacy settings for the user having Android v2.1 and higher. The update also provided the option to hide the 'last seen' notification, profile photo and status through privacy settings. The update also included an option to share/save profile photo/group icon.
